Visa

Question:

Dear Sirs, Do we need a Visa when we travel with a cruiseship? We will visit Hanoi, Halong Bay, Chan Mai, Hoi Chi Minh City. If we do need a visa, which one do we need and how do we get it? We are leaving Switzerland soon – we are citizens of Germany. Thank you in advance.

Answer:

Dear Susanne Steiner,

Thank you for contacting us!

We would like to inform that at present we can only provide visa on arrival (Visa to be picked up at the arrival airport in Vietnam and applicable for those who travel by air only).

In your case, you are suggested visiting the nearest  Vietnamese Embassy/ Consulate to apply for your Vietnam visa. You need to take your passport, a passport-sized photo, and cash in person to the Consulate, where you will be interviewed about the purpose of your visit. You must also pay the stamping fee and wait in a few days to get the visa. Please note that the application procedures and fees may vary among countries and embassies/consulates.

We do hope that this information is clear and helpful for you.

Kindly regards,
