I will probably be travelling into Vietnam by bus from Nanning to Hanoi. Can I get a visa when I get off the bus if I have applied on line first and received my approval letter? If not what is the best way to get the visa?

Visa on arrival is only applied for those who travel by air to Vietnam. If you go by bus, the only way to enter Vietnam is to get a visa beforehand at the Vietnam Embassy/Consulate in your country.
