We are in Vietnam but have to leave 1 day early. We are on a group visa which shows our departure date on 10/10/2012 but we changed our flight to 10/09/2012…will this present a problem, and if so, how to remedy that? Thank you.

Regarding your case, we are happy to say that there will be no problem if you leave Vietnam earlier than the departure date shown on your visa. The problem only occurs when you enter Vietnam earlier than the arrival date and exit Vietnam later the departure date shown on you visa.
