E-Visa for Vietnam
The Vietnamese Government has made it easier for people wishing to travel to or through the country to get a Vietnam visa. Besides than the traditional stamped visa, visitors can now apply for an electronic E-visa for Vietnam from our online platform.

- The Vietnam E-visa is also required for people traveling through Vietnam, but who wish to leave the airport. It can be applied for online or at the point of entry. Both the Vietnam Business and Tourist E-visas are single entry visas issued for business and tourism purposes, respectively. Both visas are valid for 30 days, and are good for a maximum stay of 30 consecutive days.
Vietnam E-visa requirements
Some of the Vietnam E-visa requirements are the same across the board, but some requirements depend on the type of visa.
To apply for any Vietnam E-visa, you need:
- A valid passport that will remain valid for at least six months after entry. It must have at least two blank pages.
- The applicant must also not fall into any of the categories describing travelers prohibited from entering Vietnam as specified by Vietnamese law.
- With these conditions satisfied, the applicant then needs to fill out an online E-visa application form and submit a scanned copy of the biographical data page of their passport together with one passport photo taken within the past six months.
- The applicant will also have to pay an E-visa service fee.

Anyone applying for a Vietnam E-visa must fill out our online application form.
The form is normally subdivided into 3 sections:
- Visa options
- Applicant details
- Review and payment
In the “Visa options” section, you will specify the type of visa, purpose of entry, entry and exit dates, and point of entry.
In “Applicant details,” you will fill out your personal details as they appear on your passport.
“Review and payment” allows you to confirm the details you entered, as well as to enter and confirm the E-visa service fee payment.
The most important thing is to fill out the form accurately so as to avoid problems with mismatched details.
You are advised to complete your E-visa application at least 7 days before your departure.
Who requires an E-visa to enter Vietnam?
Vietnam has a list of countries that are exempt from requiring a traditional visa to enter the country. Any foreigner whose country is not on that list is required to apply for a visa before visiting Vietnam.
