Dear Anna, I’m flying to Ho Chi-Minh City fromShanghaiby Eastern airline, arriving around 2am and will leave for Siem Reap by Vietnam Airline around 8:30am. I’ll stay in the airport. In this case, do I need a visa? Can I check-inVietnamairline in transit area without passing immigration gate? Many thanks in advance.

Please inform that no visa is required for your case since you just enterVietnamfor transit purpose. You also do not have to check in at Immigration control gate. Please do not worry at all.
